The Grand Egyptian Museum opens

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has approved the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on November 1, according to an Egyptian government statement.

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister directed the ministries and relevant authorities involved in preparing for this event to complete the arrangements being made at full speed to ensure the Grand Egyptian Museum and its surrounding area are fully prepared for the opening event.

Madbouly emphasized that the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum is being prepared to be an exceptional event, especially since it is scheduled to witness a distinguished official presence from many countries around the world. The opening also includes the organization of a number of accompanying events.
